The Ozarks, Missouri: Your next vacation destination

Six unique spots in the Missouri Ozarks you won’t want to miss

  1. Harry S Truman Lake Dam & Visitor’s Center- A man-made paradise, the Truman Lake Dam is a neat site to behold. The visitor’s center at the east end of the dam invites visitors to learn about the rich history of the area while giving them sweeping views of the water and natural areas that surround the spot. Bird-watching here is a favorite activity, and there are also several peaceful hikes visitors can embark on from the center.
  2. Pomme De Terre State Park- This body of water is a lake lover’s dream! Boat, hike, play on the beach and more at this serene spot. If fishing is your thing, this is a perfect spot to set up shop and try your hand at catching bass, walleye, catfish, crappie and more. On the water or on dry land you’re sure to have a fun, relaxing day at this mid Missouri lake.
  3. Lucas Oil Speedway- Satisfy your need for speed at the Lucas Oil Speedway, located in Wheatland, Missouri. Catch incredible racing action on dirt tracks, off road tracks and even on the water! Ticket prices are affordable for the whole family, and seeing heart-pounding racing in action is fun for all ages. Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines!
  4. Fantastic Caverns- Experience the wonder of these unique caverns in Springfield. Go underground to revel in the natural beauty of these caverns, the only of their kind in the United States. You’ll get to see cave pearls, magnificent columns and soda straws like you’ve never seen before.
